Becky Dueben
For the past 27 years, Becky Dueben has worked with organizations in higher education to evolve them into places where people find a sense of purpose and identity. Becky’s specialties are enhancing existing teams and effectively establishing new teams. She’s worked with student groups to form and improve tutoring centers, clubs, advising groups, and more. With faculty and staff, Becky has worked with committees to craft assessment plans, strategic plans, and more that inspire and speak to the shared values of the people in the organization, both at the departmental and institutional levels.
Becky uses a combination of mindfulness, constructivist pedagogy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and outdoor education theory in her work. Her doctorate in Higher Education Administration examines how systems in higher education work effectively and identifies potential points of breakdown. Passion has led Becky to this work as she’s watched organizations and individuals find their purpose, and her 25 years of experience have proven that conflict can serve as a source of transformation. By understanding where your team is and creating specialized plans unique to your team’s circumstance, Becky can co-create vibrant systems with you that serve both organizations and individuals.
Becky is a faculty member for the Center for Transformational Learning and Leadership at Washington State University and a faculty fellow for WSU’s Office of Strategy, Planning and Analysis. She is a founding principal of Education in Evolution, LLC and a Senior Partner of Ideas for Action, LLC. In her personal life, she is celebrating 27 years of marriage to her husband, Doug, and enjoys spending time with their two wonderfully nerdy daughters.
